Michelle Turley L.Ac graduated from Five Branches University with her Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Five Branches University derives its name from the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which maintain and restore an individual’s harmony with nature: Acupuncture, Herbology, Massage, Qigong, and Nutrition (Chinese Dietary Medicine). The Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MTCM) program educates students in the TCM of modern-day China. Five Branches University was the first Acupuncture College in America to add Medical Qigong to their curriculum. Michelle studied Medical Qigong under Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson and received her Medical Qigong practitioner certificate. Michelle has studied and practiced massage therapy since 1995. She attended Heartwood Institute in Garberville, CA, Mueller College of Holistic Studies in San Diego, CA, and The Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, CA. She has studied various styles of Massage Therapy and energy work including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Chakra Balancing, Therapeutic Touch, Tuina, Acupressure, Shiatsu, Prenatal Massage and Reflexology. Michelle has studied and practiced Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong and Meditation since 1995. Michelle enjoys hiking and backpacking and soon hopes to bring all the modalities together to create a program to encourage a deeper understanding of self through nature.
